ILA Workshop Series announces:
"Propagation to Processing"
Scheduled for late February, 2013 This highly educational online workshop will run for a total of 8 hours, broken down over a two day period. Workshop includes training manual, recorded audio of all sessions, and a 30 minute consultation valid for one year. Certificates of Completion will be given to all participants.
Part 1. Duckweed Propagation- covering all aspects of culturing sterile and non-sterile stock to grow-out beds of 20 square meters.
Part 2. Duckweed Production- covers production pond siting, nutrient needs, wastewater remediation, weather variables, and IPM.
Part 3. Duckweed Drying and Storage- covers CHP, solar, and CNG drying systems, pelletization, and best practices for storage.
Part 4. Duckweed Processing- covers protein and starch extraction as well as higher value nutrient extraction.
